Ritz Carlton, Dubai: Abbie + Damian

Here’s another fun wedding I got to be a part! In this one, a beautiful young girl met her now-husband in the crazy city of Dubai, where though they speak the same language - comprehension can be a little difficult sometimes? (Yes Damian’s Irish folks! Haha!)

After Abbie’s first smile to Damian in a local pub, Damian found himself speechless… except when he asked her to be his girlfriend. For 7 years, on many dates and through several voyages later, here the two stood in the gardens of the Ritz Carlton in Dubai, amongst family and friends, declaring their fondness for each other as Damian once again, asked Abbie to be his lawfully wedded wife.

Abbie and Damian are both family people which made this wedding an intimate and a heartfelt affair. After traveling to Ireland for her very first time, Abbie was intrigued and overjoyed by Damian’s large, loud, and crazy family stories. For instance, like the one where his father drove an ice cream truck into the Atlantic Ocean?! Isn’t that the most wicked out-of-a-film story you’ve ever heard!

Damian in turn enjoyed practicing his sign language skills in Australia, because Abbie’s poor folks couldn’t understand what he was saying! Our young groom with his high-speed Irish-English was welcomed into Abbie’s loving and quaint little family. He fit right in! Many a BBQ’s in their backyard later, not only Abbie, but her family was in love too!

So instead of giving you more to read, let me allow the warm love of Abbie and Damian to do their magic on this blog, as we celebrate their union in the cold December of Dubai.
